Sportradar, the global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content is seeking a QA Engineer for its Analytics and Data Storytelling group in Menlo Park.
As a QA Engineer at Sportradar in Menlo Park, you will define and build automated test infrastructure and tests to validate the functional behavior of our systems, such as webapp, data analytics and storytelling content.
As the official data provider for the NFL, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, Sportradar has exclusive distribution rights to all in game data, that includes both live play-by-play stats and sensor data from chips in every player's shoulder pads for the NFL and optical tracking data for the NBA.

Drive, implement and maintain test plans around the automated and manual testing of web-based applications, APIs, data pipeline and visual content
Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams
Monitor the status of different components in the system, such as DB cluster, data processing instances and logging systems
Validate code changes against existing test suite; build new automated unit tests to validate data, new features and defects
Debug the code, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects and provide detailed input to development team
Be or become familiar with AWS
Work with NoSQL data store (MongoDB)
Degree in computer science or related major
Coding experience in Python
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
Source control with Git
NoSQL database experience (MongoDB)
1-3 years of relevant work experience, including development and/or test automation experience
Working experience in an agile environment
Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong sports knowledge, especially basketball and American football
Extensive knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fluentd, Jenkins and Jira
Be comfortable to work in Linux environment
Web development experience (Django)
