Overview
Working within the growing PR & Communications team, the Communications Manager, US will play a critical role in driving Sportradar's PR, Communication and Public Affairs efforts across the US. The role demands an organized, ambitious and experienced self-starter who will thrive working in an expertise-rich and fast-paced company to support the development and promotion of Sportradar's global brand, products and market positioning.
The Challenge
- Build and amplify the coverage for Sportradar's positioning, products and expertise across all relevant media channels, existing and new relationships, events, and other platforms, while supporting the regional Sales team.
- Play a supporting role in delivering Sportradar's Communications and Public Affairs strategy and activities as it relates to the US.
- Handle Communications and PR deliverables across the US, reviewing and updating plans on an ongoing basis to maximize relevance and impact.
- Quickly get a handle on the sectors and products Sportradar specializes in and build a strong understanding of and network across the ecosystems, media, events cycle, influencers and stakeholders that impact those sectors across the US.
- Plug seamlessly into a global Communications team set up that is spread across the US, Europe and Asia.
- Work effectively and efficiently with all internal stakeholders, including practical support for the regional Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure Sportradar leverages opportunities as well as successfully addresses needs across the country.
- Nurture and support a strong network of media relationships across key territories in the region.
Your Profile
- 2+ years experience at Communications Manager level.
- Networks within and experience working in sport and/or technology and/or betting media ecosystems in North America, specifically the US.
- Experience attending and activating at sport and/or technology and/or betting conferences and trade shows in North America.
- Experience working in public affairs on federal and/or state level desired.
- Knowledgeable, skilled and comfortable using social media platforms and putting different content on those platforms.
- Experience working as part of crisis or issues management teams.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Strong appetite to learn and research new industries, innovations and developments.
- Highly skilled content creator, writer and editor with strong attention to detail.
- Fluent in English; other languages a plus (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with a full range of internal and external stakeholders, especially media and industry influencers.
- Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Broad knowledge of North American issues linked to sports, technology and betting.
- Comfortable and able to travel across North America as necessary.
